The family of the late Joe Hayes would like to extend our sincere thanks to all those who supported us during our recent sad bereavement. Thank you to everyone who attended the wake, Funeral Mass and crematorium service. To all those who sent Mass and sympathy cards, messages of support, donations and food, it was all very much appreciated. We are deeply grateful to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Mater Hospital for their exceptional care of Joe during his last few days. A special thank you to Fr Francis for a beautiful service and his support, and to PJ Browns Funeral Directors for their dignified management of Joe’s wake and funeral. Our heartfelt thanks to Jolene and Gary who opened up their home, and made everyone so welcome and comfortable. Lastly, to our uncle Joe’s friends and comrades in the Republican Movement, our wholehearted thanks for the manner and respect shown to Joe and our family at such a sad time. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest appreciation. Joe’s Month’s Mind will be held on Sunday August 30 at 11am in Saint Patricks Church, Donegall Street, Belfast.
